Spring macaroons

We got invited for the BBQ this Sunday (first one this year) and it seem like a great opportunity to try out baking macaroons for the hosts. I was following this recipe as in baking you can’t really play around with the amounts of ingredients. And macaroons, I heard, were very technical  baking.

What seems so simple in the end result, will take quite a lot of your time (unless you are an experienced baker), patience and nerves. Things got thrown on the floor, butter was flying around the apartment, sugar and almond powder was left not only on me, but on everything around me. However, the end result was worth it for those who have the sweet tooth.
